On April 28, Mijoo conducted an Instagram Live session to directly communicate with her fans, where she first addressed her ongoing relationship. "I felt I needed to speak to you all," Mijoo stated. "Many of you might have been surprised or taken aback, so I wanted to start this live session to apologize and thank you."

As the session continued, Mijoo expressed her appreciation for the congratulatory messages she received, while also acknowledging her feelings of guilt. "Thank you to those who celebrated this news," she added. "I’m sorry as well. The news came out suddenly, and I was figuring out how to tell you all. It seemed right to just talk to you directly here. I’m very sorry and thankful. My mind has been very heavy these past few days," she reiterated her apologies and gratitude.
