Singer Jeon So Mi will be launching her own beauty brand, 'GLYF', on April 2.
On March 27 KST, the singer launched her brand's official website and introduced its first product, a special highlighter palette.
Featuring four colors, the 'GLYF' highlighter palette costs 43,000 KRW (~ $32 USD).
Although the aggressive marketing of the product across various platforms has raised quite the interest in the idol's new beauty brand launch, many netizens felt that the brand's first product, the highlighter palette, was "too expensive".
Some netizens commented, "If I'm going to invest in a good highlighter palette, I might as well pay a little more for something like 'Dior' or 'Chanel'."
[Note: The box including the pouch and crayons shown in the video below is not for sale. Only the clear case with the four colors is available for sale at 43,000 KRW.]
Meanwhile, 'GLYF' is expected to launch a series of new products soon after the release of its highlighter palette.
With celebrity brands, you're paying for the name. Most celebrity brands suck, but a few actually end up being good quality products, like Fenty, Rare Beauty, and Haus Labs. Whether or not her palette is worth it depends on the formula.
