Disney+ has begun unveiling the new details for the highly anticipated Star Wars series 'The Acolyte' starring Lee Jung Jae from the megahit series 'Squid Game.'
The story takes place in the backdrop of the High Republic Era, the prime of the Jedi Order, 50 years before 'Star Wars: Episode I—The Phantom Menace.' The Acolyte unfolds the story of a former Jedi Padawan and their once-master investigating sinister crimes in an ever-changing galaxy.

'The Acolyte' is produced as an eight-part series. Producer Leslie Headland described the project as a mix between 'Frozen' and 'Kill Bill' and will premiere on Disney+ on June 5.
Korean netizens commented, "I can't believe a Korean actor is one of the main cast of a Star Wars series," "This is so awesome," "I can't wait to watch the series," "Lee Jung Jae is so good at English," "This is so crazy," "The English narration is so crazy," "Lee Jung Jae in a Star Wars series is surreal," and "I never imagined a Korean actor would appear in Star Wars."
