Rowoon found himself under scrutiny as viewers assessed his role as a host and the content of his acceptance speech during the '2023 KBS Drama Awards.'

On December 31st, Rowoon hosted the '2023 KBS Drama Awards' along with Jang Sung Kyu and Seol In Ah. However, Rowoon was seen reading the script on a teleprompter, unlike the other two hosts. 

Rowoon had previously hosted about 10 times and he also recently appeared as a fixed MC in an audition show.  

Further, Rowoon on this day has won an excellence award for his performance in the drama 'The Matchmakers.' At the end of his acceptance speech, he said, "I will continue to work hard as a person who loves acting and wants to be better at it. Please turn a blind eye to me." 

Only he would know what he meant by "please turn a blind eye," but many assumed that he wanted the viewers to turn a blind eye to his lack of acting skills. Some of the comments include: "Jang Dong Yoon was robbed."

"I could see he did not prepare for hosting at all."

"lol I can't believe he really said to turn a blind eye. Does he want no one to see him acting?"

"They should give more opportunities to other male celebrities. Why only promote him?"

"I can simply turn off his shows but come on. Stop hosting please."

"I can't tell if he said that by mistake or he really meant it lol"
