Actors Kim Hyun Joo and Park Hee Soon, along with director Yeon Sang-ho, have teamed up for a project.
They are set to unveil a mysterious and unpredictable story through Netflix's 'The Bequeathed,' which will be released on the 19th.
'The Bequeathed' is a 6-part series based on the webtoon of the same name by director Yeon Sang-ho, known for his works 'Train to Busan' and the drama 'Hellbound'. Director Sang-ho took charge of planning and scriptwriting, while director Min Hong-nam, who has long collaborated with Sang-ho on various films, makes his directorial debut with this series.
The transformation of Kim Hyun Joo is also highly anticipated. Having established herself as director Sang-ho's 'persona' through works like 'Hellbound' and 'Jung Yi', there is keen interest in what new facets she will reveal in this drama.
In 'The Bequeathed', Kim Hyun Joo plays the protagonist Yoon Seo-ha, who inherits a burial ground following the sudden death of her small uncle and unravels shocking accidental deaths amidst ominous accidents.
Park Hee Soon and Park Byung-eun play police officers. They intuitively feel that the series of ominous events are connected to the burial ground and begin to uncover the truth.
Before the drama's release, they will raise curiosity by holding a press conference on the 12th morning at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel in Jangchung-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul.
Director Yeon Sang-ho, who wrote the screenplay, described it as "a story that unfolds in an unpredictable way," while director Min Hong-nam spoke of "the eerie atmosphere from the visuals and the anxious emotions of humans."
Kim Hyunjoo and Park Heesoon acted together in a SBS mystery drama called Trolley last year too. They were a married couple in that drama.
