'When Life Gives You Tangerines' starring IU and Park Bo Gum is set to be released on Netflix.

On January 30, Netflix announced the global release of the latest creation by director Kim Won Seok and writer Im Sang Chun, 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' spanning over 190 countries.

The storyline follows the adventurous lives of Ae Soon, a rebellious girl from Yomangjin, born in Jeju, and Kwan Sik, a man with an unyielding spirit. 'When Life Gives You Tangerines,' is poised to resonate as it unfolds the tale of Ae Soon and Kwan Sik against the picturesque backdrop of Jeju Island.

This project generated significant buzz and anticipation after it was revealed that IU and Park Bo Gum had been cast as the main lead actors.

IU, known for her versatile acting skills showcased in dramas like 'My Mister' and 'Hotel Del Luna,' as well as movies such as 'Broker' and 'Dream,' collaborates once again with director Kim Won Seok after their previous success with 'My Mister.' IU takes on the role of Ae Soon, a rebellious character challenging her predetermined fate, born and raised in Jeju.

Park Bo Gum, exploring various genres with projects like 'Record of Youth,' the film 'Seo Bok,' and the musical 'Let Me Fly,' portrays Kwan Sik with a resolute and unyielding demeanor, relying more on actions than words. Kwan Sik is characterized by sincerity, unwavering gentleness, and a steadfast affection for Ae Soon since childhood.

Adding depth to the narrative, Moon So Ri and Park Hae Jun portray the older versions of Ae Soon and Kwan Sik, respectively. Park Hae Jun, reuniting with director Kim Won Seok after 'My Mister,' adds an extra layer of intrigue. The trusted names of these actors further enhance the overall anticipation for the project.

'When Life Gives You Tangerines' is a collaboration between writer Im Sang Chun, renowned for his work on dramas like 'Misaeng' and 'Signal,' and director Kim Won Seok, known for his human-centric storytelling in beloved dramas such as 'Becky's Back,' 'Fight for My Way,' and 'When the Camellia Blooms.' This synergy only deepens the credibility of the project.
