Seventeen's Hoshi is garnering attention for the hilarious and down-to-earth reason why he became sure he wanted to renew his contract with HYBE Labels.
During a recent guest appearance on the YouTube show 'Salon Drip' hosted by Jang Do Yeon, Hoshi shared the story of how meal costs for Seventeen gradually increased with each comeback since their debut.
He then commented, "I am so thankful that we are a part of HYBE now. The company building is so tall, it's so cool inside when the weather is warm, it's warm inside when the weather is cold, we can enter with face recognition, they give us transportation where ever we go... it used to be during our debut days that we were always dying of heat when the weather was warm, we were freezing to death when the weather was cold, and we were always cramped with so many people in a small space."
Hearing this, Jang Do Yeon asked, "What is the best thing about being in HYBE?". Hoshi answered, "To be honest, there are so many great things about HYBE... but I guess for me, the essentials are important. So I ordered ramyeon at the company cafeteria. I was expecting the regular ramyeon, but what I got was ramyeon was topped with abalone and octopus. Right at that moment, I knew that I had to renew with the company."
On the other hand, does Hoshi have any complaints about HYBE? He explained that the single elevator reserved for artists took too long to arrive. "There is only one elevator for the artists, and we always have to wait a long time for it. The entrance to the building for artists is on the 3rd ground-level floor of the parking lot. You have to take the elevator there, and that elevator only goes up to the floors that the artists can use, like the artist lounge which is on the topmost floor, the recording and practice rooms, and so on. Once, I wanted to get on the elevator for the ground level parking lot. But it just so happened that the 5 members of NewJeans were getting on. They asked me to come on with them, but I couldn't get on, and let them go ahead," the idol recalled.
Finally, Hoshi addressed a video message to Bang Si Hyuk, saying, "Si Hyuk-nim, I think it would be great if there were two elevators for the artists."
As they say, love goes through the stomach lmao
