In a recent online event, fans were thrilled when they were treated to a live performance of the hit song "Mirotic" by former TVXQ member Kim Jae Joong. This track is renowned as one of the most popular songs ever released by TVXQ.
"Mirotic" first debuted in 2008, landing a spot on TVXQ's 4th studio album, bearing the identical name. An interesting fact to note is that the 'Mirotic' album remains the most critically acclaimed amongst all of the group's releases, with the title track holding its own as one of the band's signature songs.
Despite this song's roaring success, fans have not had the chance to witness a live rendition in over a decade. Three of the TVXQ members namely Jaejoong, Junsu, and Yoochun, exited the group and SM Entertainment in 2009, due to internal disputes within the label. Consequently, these three artists never had the opportunity to deliver a live performance of this beloved song.
That is... until now. On October 26, fans were delighted to a live version of "Mirotic" sung by Kim Jae Joong when he appeared as a special guest on the YouTube show, 'Jo Hyun Ah's Thursday Night.'
When musical guests are introduced, Jo Hyun Ah personally plays the piano, and the guests sing as they enter the room. On this day, Jo Hyun Ah began playing the melody for "Mirotic," and Kim Jae Joong made a grand entrance while lending his amazing vocals for the song.
The rendition was met with immense enthusiasm and nostalgia, stirring the hearts of the TVXQ fan base once again.
K-netizens commented, "Kim Jae Joong is the only one who can sing that beginning part perfectly," "He's so good looking," "The way he sings that beginning part is just so amazing," "How does he look so young," "The song is so good," "The beginning part was tailored made for him," "This is so crazy," "His voice is so melodic," "This is the original," "It's been so long," and "I can't believe I get to hear the authentic version."
Omg, I never thought I would see the day. Junsu really killed that song and choreo for me, wish he was in this clip too.
