The film 'Harbin' and the variety show 'Culinary Class Wars' were honored with the Grand Prize (Daesang) in the film and television categories, respectively at this year's Baeksang Arts Awards.

The 61st Baeksang Arts Awards took place on May 5 at COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam, Seoul. 'Harbin,' which attracted 4.91 million moviegoers, won the Grand Prize in the film category. Meanwhile, Netflix's original variety show 'Culinary Class Wars' took home the top prize in the television category, after generating significant buzz. 'Harbin' also won Best Picture, further cementing its artistic acclaim.

Netflix original film 'Uprising' took home three awards: Best New Actor (Jung Sung Il), Best Screenplay (Park Chan Wook & Shin Chul), and Best Artistic Direction (Jo Young Wook). It earned the most wins in the film category.

In the television division, 'Culinary Class Wars' beat out fierce competitors like Netflix originals 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' and 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call' to claim the Grand Prize.

Although it did not win the Grand Prize, 'When Life Gives You Tangerines' became the biggest winner overall, securing four awards: Best Drama, Best Supporting Actor (Choi Dae Hoon), Best Supporting Actress (Yeom Hye Ran), and Best Screenplay (Im Sang Choon).

tvN’s 'Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born' won two awards: Best Actress (Kim Tae Ri) and Best Artistic Direction (Jang Young Gyu). MBC’s 'Doubt' also won two awards: Best New Actress (Chae Won Bin) and Best Director (Song Yeon Hwa). The Variety Show Award went to 'Punghyanggo,' a YouTube program featuring Yoo Jae Suk.

Director Park Chan Wook, who jointly received the Screenplay Award, mentioned the upcoming presidential election in June during his acceptance speech, highlighting the qualities of good leadership. Actress Roh Yoon Seo also moved audiences by delivering part of her acceptance speech in sign language after receiving the Best New Actress award.
