Earlier on, it was reported that World Scout Jamboree will be postponing the "K-pop Super Live" concert due to the extreme weather, and an artist lineup change was expected. According to earlier reports, the concert was said to be postponed from August 6 to August 11, with the performance to be held on the closing day of the Jamboree.
Following that announcement, Park Bokyun, the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, held a press conference on August 6 in regards to the situation at the World Scout Jamboree. In particular, he mentioned that the concert will now be held on the evening of August 11, the closing day of the Jamboree. He notes, "In order to accommodate concerns such as the number of attendees, safety management, artist availability, as well as the program's security, [...] the location (of the concert) has been changed to the Jeonju World Cup Stadium."
Notably, the Jeonju World Cup Stadium is able to hold 42,000 spectators, with 88% of the stands roofed.
On the other hand, Park Bokyun also states that they are still in close discussions with the artists regarding their appearances, as well as the broadcast team at KBS.
Meanwhile, the originally scheduled concert was to be MCed by actor Jang Dong Yoon and STAYC members Sieun and Seeun. The concert lineup also consisted of IVE, ZEROBASEONE, NMIXX, STAYC, P1Harmony, &TEAM, VERIVERY, Lee Chae Yeon, Nature, ATBO, and Xikers. Due to the postponement, the lineup is also subject to change.
