The recent controversy involving Hwang Ui Jo, a national soccer team member and Seoul FC player, is turning for the worse. A number of explicit videos alleged to feature the soccer star are now being disseminated across the internet, amplifying the controversy surrounding him.
Previously, the renowned soccer player alleged that he was the target of "Revenge Porn," a malicious act where intimate content is circulated as a form of retaliation following the termination of a relationship.
On June 25, Hwang Ui Jo's management company UJ Sports, took to social media to release a statement denouncing the baseless rumors and sexual slurs targeting Hwang Ui Jo's personal life. The statement also called for an investigation into the individual responsible for initially spreading and fabricating these groundless allegations.
Simultaneously, the statement clarified that all content currently circulating on social media is untrue, emphasizing their intention to take stern legal action against the dissemination of illegally obtained materials that infringe upon the player's privacy and tarnish his reputation.
The person responsible for the social media leak is leveling allegations against the soccer player, claiming that he possesses hidden camera recordings of sexual encounters, as well as illicitly obtained photos and videos stored on his mobile device. If proven true, Hwang Ui Jo could potentially face legal repercussions.
The individual behind the leak, believed to be Hwang Ui Jo's former girlfriend, asserted, "There are numerous videos and photos on Hwang Ui Jo's cellphone that were obtained by deceiving and manipulating numerous women."
Currently, the original posts from the leaker on Twitter have been deleted. However, photos and videos of Hwang Ui Jo's private life are spreading rapidly online.
On various social media outlets, videos of the soccer player engaging in sexual intercourse are being sold for 2,000 to 3,000 KRW (1.53 to 2.29 USD). This situation has raised concerns among netizens, who fear both the potential harm inflicted on the women appearing in these videos and the defamation of Hwang Ui Ji himself.
Under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes, individuals who distribute, sell, rent, provide, or openly display or screen filmed material against the will of the subjects may face imprisonment for up to seven years or fines of up to 50 million KRW (38,209 USD).
Meanwhile, Hwang Ui Jo is currently contracted with FC Seoul until the 30th of this month and is actively pursuing a return to Europe. Recently, he participated in the super match against Suwon Samsung on June 24, marking his final game in Seoul.
People asking who would buy the videos as though South Korea is not the capital of secretly recording women with secret chat groups dedicated solely to this type of thing.Acting surprised like Burning Sun didn't happen. Instead of being shocked that a prominent person like him had so much of this stuff on his phone. If he has it, who else has it on their phone that's the shocking part.
