Have you ever watched a K-drama that ended too abruptly, leaving storylines unresolved and your thirst for closure unsatisfied? Have you found yourself longing for just a little bit more depth, clarity, or simply wishing to spend more time with the characters you've grown to love? One solution would be to introduce a second season, giving the series a chance to address loose ends and enrich the narrative. But which dramas have fans been clamoring for a sequel to? Here, we present a list of seven such K-dramas that viewers eagerly await a second season.
1) "Twenty Five Twenty One": One of the most infuriating ends of a K-drama series. If you want the happy ending, well, this drama isn't it. The ending is what has fans screaming to get a second season. What transpired between Baek Ijin and Na Hee Do to create such a massive chasm? And the burning question - who is Na Hee Do's mysterious fiancé? The unanswered queries are stirring viewers' curiosity.
2) "Bloodhounds": A mere eight episodes feel inadequate for this adrenaline-pumping K-drama series. Its potent blend of edge-of-your-seat action, expertly choreographed hand-to-hand combat, and sparkling comedic humor cries out for a second season. Simply put, fans can't get enough of this thrilling rollercoaster ride.
3) "Weak Hero Class 1": Another mini-series, but you can't deny this is probably one of the best mini-series out there. Even though it's wonderful it's still quite underrated. The camaraderie between the three main characters and their chemistry can't be missed out on. It'd be great to see this series take on a second season, possibly taking place in college instead of high school this time around.
4) "Hotel Del Luna": A significant cliffhanger at the end of this series had fans in high hopes as actor Kim Soo Hyun made a cameo, with the line "The moon has risen. It's time to start business." Leading fans to speculate that there would be a second season, but as of now, things are still up in the air.
5) "Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo": When actor Lee Joon Ki stated that there was an alternate ending to the series where Hae Soo and Wang So meet in the future, fans were abuzz with excitement. However, fans still have yet to see the alternate ending, and well, I would say this is enough reason to get a second season, no?
6) "High Kick Through the Roof": Technically, this series has three seasons; however, it's been so long since the last one it feels about right to get a new season. After all, it's through these series that some of the most popular actors caught the attention of viewers, such as Lee Jong Suk, Yoon Shi Yoon, Park Ha Sun, and more.
7) "The Business Proposal": While many loved the main love line, you can't deny that the romance story of the secondary characters was a lot spicier. It'd be great if they could get their own season. Viewers never got to see what kind of company Jin Young Seo created, and whether or not she got to fix her relationship with her father.
With so many K-dramas out there, rarely we get to see many of them get a second season but if you had to choose which K-dramas would you want a second season for?
