iKON recently released the MV for their new song "Tantara", their first song release as a group since leaving YG Entertainment and joining 143 Entertainment.
The performance MV for "Tantara" was shared on a Korean online community by a user saying, "On January 1, 143 Entertainment had fewer employees than the number of iKON members, and now they have 10! They successfully released the performance video for 'Tantara' today and it's more hip hop than when they were at YG haha. And Aiki did the choreography!"
The user added, "They have a comeback on May 4, and except for one song the members made the songs. This will also be the first time solo member songs will be released, so please pay attention."
The user also shared the following tweet that stated, "Finally said goodbye to 'Love Scenario' ballad-singing iKON, look these 6 crazy guys returned with an old school hip hop song."
Netizens had a lot of thoughts regarding iKON's new song.
"iKON must have had a hard time, they only really circulated around Japan a lot."
"it's good that you maintained the team and moved the company."
"Wow, I think it's so cool to come out of a large agency and work as a team in such a cool way T_T"
"Wow I wasn't even a fan, but I really like it~ It's very old school."
"This is nice, but it's crazy that they're finally getting to do something like this."
"They're talented kids, I want them to do well."
"I'm envious that everyone moved to the same company and even made a comeback T T It's a group that I've been watching since childhood and have a lot of affection for."
"I also like the choreography because it has a lot of weight."
"This is an iKON-like song, the song was well chosen. It seems that changing agencies they can make the music that iKON really wants. During YG, Yang [Hyun Suk]'s influence was so strong that he had to like the song for it to be released."
"Oh I don't know much about iKON, but it's really hip and the song is good.. Thanks for letting me know!"
So true. iKON is so cool for leaving YG and staying together. They are fighters and I am so proud of them
