Fans donate after Jimin's 100 Million KRW donation to UNICEF for emergency relief to children affected by the Syria-Turkey earthquakes

BTS's Jimin donated towards emergency relief for children affected by the earthquakes in Syria and Turkey.
On the 15th of February, Korean Media and UNICEF Korea Committee revealed that BTS's Jimin had donated 100 Million Korean Won (~77,500 USD) to the Turkey and Syria emergency relief for children affected by the earthquakes saying, "I hope it will be helpful for children affected by the earthquake." This donation put him and member J-Hope, who also donated the same amount, to the UNICEF Honors Club. Speaking of this, Lee Ki Chul, Secretary General of the UNICEF Korea committee, said, "Jimin has been supporting UNICEF's campaign to eradicate violence against children and youth, END Violence, with BTS members for six years since UNICEF and BigHit Music signed a social contribution agreement."

Following the Syria-Turkey earthquakes, which also rocked most of the Middle East on the 6th of February, the resulting casualties created an international humanitarian disaster. Fans continue to be moved by Jimin's act of kindness, and they remembered how much he has always used his platform for good and resources to care for the less fortunate, especially children. Between the years 2016-2018, he donated to his former school, the Busan Hoedong elementary school to cover uniform expenses. He has since made donations of KRW 100 Million to the Busan Department of Education, the Busan Arts High School, the Jeonnam Education Office, for which he was added to the Hall of Fame as well as the recent Gangwon Provincial Office of Education. Jimin is a member of the Green Noble Club, made up of major donors of the Green Umbrella Foundation who donate more than KRW 100 Million. Jimin was also recognized by the International Rotary organization's President, Mr. Shekhar Mehta, WHO Director, and more for his contribution of KRW 100 Million for the alleviation of Polio.
