Oh wow, it's already October? Why does it feel like it was just yesterday I was singing "wake me up when Summer ends"? Well, I guess now is time for a change of playlist. With Halloween haunting upon us, let's add some of K-Pop's haunting songs to our K-Pop-ween playlist!
Can't You See Me - TXT
How did they end up going from a fantasy Harry Potter concept to something so wicked? Not only does the song have a creepy tone to it with the sinister-like-sounding tone towards the end, but the whole music video also has a very twisted storyline to it.
BEcause - Dreamcatcher
The entire Dreamcatcher concept is just horror in itself, and no one pulls it off better than these girls. If we were to actually list creepy songs, almost the entire playlist would only be filled with them. This is just one of the many creepy songs they have. Especially when they have the music box tune on, and the laugh in the end; just makes me shiver.
Red Moon - Kim Wooseok
Not sure if he's an actual idol or a vampire disguised as an idol because he pulled off the vampire vibe so well in the music video. The song itself unequivocally has that creepy vampire-esque tone, especially paired with his beautiful, terrifyingly perfect voice.
Paranoia - Kang Daniel
There's no running and hiding from this one. Kang Daniel not only made it visually dark with the music video and thick eyeliners, but he also made the lyrics, the song itself, the lyrics, and the beat incredibly dark. A song that will never leave you alone, I'm sure.
Monster - Red Velvet, IRENE & SEULGI
This dark concept song has a smooth and soft-touched vocal that makes the song both haunting and beautiful and the same time. These two little monsters will make your Halloween an unforgettable one.
Photo (RTK Ver.) - VERIVERY
The entire concept for this performance was definitely horror, and the whispering at the beginning gave that off. It does have that rock tune to it, but it is infused with that horror tune that makes it a great song to just rock at a Halloween party.
Put It Straight (Nightmare Ver.) - (G)I-DLE
So many great performances came out of both seasons of Queendom, and this one was just hauntingly beautiful. G(I)-DLE did a nightmare version of their song Put It Straight and pulled it off so well. They even did a choreography version of the performance, all dressed up in Halloween costumes. Fair warning, they do look terrifying.
Monster - EXO
SM Entertainment has a thing for monsters, huh? This song will be creeping in your heart with its catchy chorus that will get you going crazy as you get ready to go trick-or-treating.
Venom - Stray Kids
What else screams Halloween if not spiders? The creepy 'spider' sound in the song definitely gives off such a good Halloween vibe and would make a great Halloween party song. The song will make everyone wrapped around its fingers.
Nightmares - The Boyz
This song definitely has that classic Halloween movie vibe to it. It feels like it could be the OST for Halloweentown or Hocus Pocus. The title might be nightmares, but there's nothing scary about this song.
Thank you for mentioning (G)I-DLE's "Put It Straight" Halloween choreography version, it may be the most perfect K-pop Halloween m/v!
