Jiyoon will be taking a break from Weeekly activities.

On August 1 KST, the rookie girl group's agency Play M Entertainment announced that member Jiyoon will be absent from their comeback promotions for upcoming fourth mini album 'Play Game: Holiday.'

"Due to psychological anxiety Jiyoon has been experiencing intermittently while promoting, she has been receiving psychological care from a professional medical facility," the agency explained. "However, recently, during the album preparation process, she once again complained of a large amount of tension and anxiety, and after in-depth discussion with her family and medical professionals, we decided she needed time to focus on recovering her health."

The agency continued by explaining that they prioritize the health of their artists and will do their best to support her recovery. They also apologized for announcing such news just before the comeback and asked fans for their understanding.

Meanwhile, 'Play Game: Holiday' is set for release on August 4.
