Cube Entertainment's rookie girl group LIGHTSUM is marking new records everyday.
On the second day of their official debut, LIGHTSUM sold about 10,000 copies of their debut single "Vanilla". Not only was their album sales impressive, but LIGHTSUM has also garnered an immensely high number of views on YouTube for their debut music video. LIGHTSUM first released their debut song on June 10 at 6PM KST and their music video has already reached over 4 million views, as of June 12. Additionally, the fancam video of their debut stage on Mnet's 'M Countdown' is rising in popularity, pouring out hundreds of thousands of views.
Immediately after the digital release of their song, "Vanilla" entered the domestic music chart Bugs! at #19, ranked #2 in the real-time chart on the Japanese music site Rakuten Music, and topped iTunes single charts in Colombia, Costa Rica, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, Thailand, Chile, Taiwan, Vietnam, Poland, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Mexico, clearly marking the group as a next-generation global rookie idol.
