JIN of BTS released his new self-composed song "Abyss" two hours before his 28th Birthday on 4th December. He became one of the few idols to share their deepest mental struggles. In the note attached to the song, JIN revealed that he was having a very hard time during the past few months. Emotional burnout and the Impostor Syndrome after achieving №1 on Billboard lead the young artist to a situation when he couldn't overcome it without somebody's help. JIN bravely opened up about it in his letter. By that, he took a big part in destigmatizing such issues as seeking mental help. JIN has been speaking up on this issue ever since 2016 encouraging many people to stop being ashamed of it.
The song has all the distinctive features and uniqueness as all JIN's writings: the beautiful lyricism, creativity of the metaphors he used, and, of course, wide vocal range.
