BTS’s Jimin smashes yet another Spotify record for a Korean artist as three of his solo songs surpassed 110M streams
STAR CONTRIBUTOR
Leave it to Jimin, the BTS member with the golden mic and voice, to break Spotify records with only 3 songs.
BTS Jimin’s solo song and international hit “Filter”
smashed streaming records as it exceeded 110 million streams on Spotify
on December 13. This made Jimin as the first and only Korean solo artist to have three songs with more than 110 million streams on the world’s largest music platform. The other two solo songs which first surpassed 110 million streams are Lie and Serendipity Full Length Edition.
Filter has also set the record as the fastest to amass more than 110 million streams on Spotify from a non-promoted b-side solo song from a Korean male artist.
Lastly, King of Kpop Jimin further proved his popularity in the USA as Filter regained the highest rank on Amazon’s Best Selling Song of 2020 (So Far). Filter also ranked first on two other major categories of Amazon, such as International Best Sellers and Best Selling Songs categories on December 13.
Congratulations are certainly for Jimin and it looks like his records will continue to roll as his song Filter maintains its strength and popularity. The above-mentioned achievements only show that Jimin’s fans, as well as the general listening public, have poured their love and support for Jimin in abundance.
It's Park Jimin's world and we are honoured to be living in it!
