BigHit announced that they and their subsidiary Source Music, home of Gfriend, will be creating their new girl group debuting in 2021.
Not much is known about the girl group other than that they will be a global girl group with multiple backgrounds & languages.
BigHit has announced multiple groups coming within the next two years from all of their music labels.
The next group coming from Pledis is going to be a boy group, and there aren’t any plans revealed for a girl group in 2021-2022. This opens up the possibility that their female trainees have moved to Source Music.
It wouldn’t be unusual considering trainees have moved amongst the BigHit labels before. Such as many I-Land contestants being former BigHit trainees who transferred to Belift. There are also rumors that the Source Music trainees who competed on Produce x 101 transferred to one of the sub-labels.
If true, there would be members from IOI, Pristin, & Produce 48 representing, further proving the global representation with Sungyeon & Yunjin being Korean-American, as well as Kyulkyung being Chinese. Yehana would represent Korea.
These 4 alone would make a strong lineup, so any further members could further lead to the group's success.

I doubt Kyulkyung will come back to Korea. Isn’t she in the middle of a legal battle with Pledis? Trying to get her contract voided or something?
