On May 21, YG Entertainment excited fans with some new announcements regarding rookie boy group TREASURE's debut, including the release of member Bang Ye Dam's surprise 1st solo single.
Many K-Pop fans are looking forward to finally seeing TREASURE at last, 1 year and 4 months after the end of their pre-debut survival program 'Treasure Box'.
However, some fans of BLACKPINK have decided to flood SNS platforms with hostile responses, spamming Twitter posts about TREASURE with negativity, as you can see below:

NCT debuted despite the fact that SM has EXO, who can make more than enough profit for them. That's how it goes. New generation, new groups from each company. Besides, it's extremely cruel to Treasure, who haven't even debuted yet to receive this flood of hate for something they can't control. It's not Treasure's fault that Blackpink doesn't get a comeback and that they're finally debuting after training so hard, participating in that survival, and waiting for an additional year.
