Management agency JYP Entertainment filed a lawsuit against malicious commenters aiming at Mina (Twice).
On July 26, through Twice's official SNS, JYP Entertainment warned to take legal action against malicious posts and comments. The agency said, "After the announcement of Mina's health condition and legal countermeasures to malicious posts and comments aimed at other relevant members, we verified the evidence by directly monitoring and receiving information from fans, and filed a lawsuit."
Previously, on July 11, through the official homepage, JYP Entertainment once said, "Currently, Mina is experiencing a great sense of insecurity about standing on the stage. Therefore, she will not be able to join the world tour of the group."
Twice held 10 shows in 9 cities around the world including 4 cities in North America under the world tour schedule "Twicelights".
The full JYP Entertainment's stance is as below:
Hello. This is JYPE.
After the announcement of Mina's health condition and legal countermeasures to malicious posts and comments aimed at other relevant members, we verified the evidence by directly monitoring and receiving information from fans, and filed a lawsuit.
Again, we would like to state that we will continue to take all possible civil and criminal action to protect our artists’ reputation, character, and rights. We ask for fans' active involvement in sending helpful information.
Thank you.
