JB shares thoughts on GOT7 and the '7-year jinx'

JB promised to keep GOT7 together no matter what.

The JYP Entertainment boy group is celebrating their 6th-anniversary this year, which also means they're approaching the '7-year jinx.' 

In the K-pop industry, the contracts for idols is usually 7 years. This is the reason why many groups face disbandment in their 7th year. However, GOT7 will not be affected by the '7-year jinx,' according to their leader. 

In a cafe interview on May 20, JB said, "We haven't thought about the '7-year jinx.' We will continue GOT7. The 7 of us need GOT7 and we all very well know that we can't let go of one another. We will never let go of GOT7."

    In my opinion, the 7 year jinx will only be relevant if the group is not that active in promotions or has issues within themselves or with the company. Honestly, I don't think that's the case with GOT7. They are active, have a dedicated fanbase and the company seems to be supporting them well.
