DJ Sophia Valentini under fire after making 'slanty-eye' gestures while listening to BLACKPINK

California based DJ Sophia Valentini is under fire for her racist gestures. 

On May 19, Sophia posted a video of her dancing to BLACKPINK's "Kill This Love," and captioned, "I love Kpop !! What do you guys think, could I be a new member of @blackpinkofficial?"


In the clip, the self-called "K-pop lover" repeatedly slants her eyes to the side with her hands. 

Viewers criticized the DJ, commenting, "This is so racist," "This ain't cute or funny," "Everything was 'ok' until you decided to stretch your damn eyes," "are you on drugs or what?? this is so racist."
