On the October 28 episode of the MBC singing competition 'Mask King,' eight new contestants battled for a chance to overthrow the 87th reigning king 'Chestnut Bread'!
The fourth battle of the episode was between 'Burst' and 'Bubble Bubble,' who performed Zion.T's 2015 single "No Make Up" for the audience. The audience vote revealed that 'Bubble Bubble' beat 'Burst' by a surprisingly slim 50-49 vote, meaning 'Burst' had to drop out of the competition and reveal his identity.
The audience was surprised to find that 'Burst' was none other than VIXX's Ravi. He revealed that he had decided he wanted to take on the show as a new challenge after being humbled by all of the contestants who had taken the stage before him.
"If I made it to the second round, I could have continued singing while wearing a mask, but I wanted to lose at the first round so that I could sing while showing my face," the rapper admitted, referencing how losing contestants get to unmask while singing a song to the crowd during their reveal stage.
"The other members think it is awkward [for me to sing like this] as someone who is not active as a singer. I wanted to be able to surprise even the members by performing as a serious singer [while on the show]," he added.
