Girl group HEYGIRLS recently revealed on Instagram they would release their 4th album soon. No exact date has been given, but the possible name for the album is Pit-A-Pat/Throbbing (두근두근 )
HEYGIRLS debuted in 2012 as Black Queen, a dance group. In 2017, they changed their name to HEYGIRLS and switched from dqance group to idol group. Their last release was in July with their summery song Nog-Yeojwo
Pit-A-Pat? K-pop creativity deficiency strikes again. How many groups have come out with a track with that exact title? At least Bestie in 2013, Laboum in 2014, Chung-ha in 2017 and TWICE also in 2017.
I understand that 99% of pop music revolves around the same few things (love, heartbreak, longing, etc.) and the lyrics are not especially clever, so as a result the words used are often pretty much the same. And since the pop music dictionary is pretty thin, the song titles often end up resembling each other. But how on earth has the title "Pit-A-Pat" become so common?!
