Recently, 'Seoul Daily' published an analysis that summarized the public's view of Crayon Pop's "Bar Bar Bar" as a one-hit wonder.
According to 'Seoul Daily', Crayon Pop's "Bar Bar Bar" was a song which gained a huge amount of popularity back in 2013. However, the analysis suggests that, as far as the group goes, Crayon Pop had slowly started to lose its wonder since then.
The media outlet explained that although the helmet outfit and the pogo stick dance was quite a fresh concept for "Bar Bar Bar", the following comebacks lacked those types of catchy elements overall.
In addition, the lack of a single popular member to represent the group was also a huge marketing flaw. The media wrote, "Some netizens believe that things could have been different if there had been at least one member who 'hard carried' the efforts to become really popular." The opinion also suggested that being successful in K-pop was all about selling and buying fandoms, which sometimes has nothing to do with the actual song or the performance.
Lastly, the news of H.O.T.'s Moon Hee Jun and Soyul's marriage, as well as news of other members changing routes to become actresses and musical singers, have started to suggest that the group will soon be dissolved. Although their agency still has not confirmed the girl group's official disbandment, insiders speculate that it will happen not too far in the future.
