In one talk session clip back on March 4, G.O talked about his trainee days, where he practiced and received singing lessons through an SM Entertainment affiliated academy. He revealed that he used to be a part of a group called the Changwon Musician Union, and he was able to enroll at the SM academy with his group members.
He shared, "One famous person who received lessons [at that academy] was Girls' Generation's Taeyeon. We got along closely, eating hamburgers and practicing together."
"They launched an 'SM Best Singing Contest', and Taeyeon came in 1st place, while I came in 2nd place. At the time, I couldn't accept the results. Back then, I would practice 10 hours straight, and even if my voice went out, I just couldn't stop," he continued.
G.O also touched on his difficult debut process from dropping out of high school to signing with Rain's label, and more. Watch the clip above!
