In August, iKON fans refused to purchase any iKON goods until the group receives better treatment from YG Entertainment. In response, the label explained, "We're continuously preparing their new album as well as solo albums. This happened because of a misunderstanding with the fans."

On September 14, iKON member Bobby shared thoughts on the issue during an interview with media outlet Maeil Kyungjae.
Bobby stated, "I believe boycotting symbolizes the thirst for us. We're not able to come out (and promote) because we lack. So we took this as getting scolded and currently working harder. iKON is working hard day and night to show a good side of us. If you wait a little longer, we'll be back better and cooler. I want to ask them to wait for us a little longer."
As for iKON's comeback plans, Bobby said, "In my mind, I want to come back right away tomorrow." He then added, "I hope we can come back before the year ends."
Meanwhile, Bobby released new solo album 'Love and Fall' on September 14.
