On the July 16 airing of 'Hongki's Kiss the Radio, Bella did an impersonation of Lai Guan Lin while having a conversation about 'Produce 101' season 2. She stated, "His voice stuck in my memory and I've tried it myself as a joke. He's Lai Guan Lin. This is an impersonation."

She then mimicked the way Lai Guan Lin speaks Korean.

Many netizens found Bella's impersonation of Lai Guan Lin offensive and demanded an apology. 

In response, Bella wrote a handwritten letter and stated, "I apologize to everyone who was hurt by my insensitive impersonation of Wanna One member Lai Guan Lin. I have no desires to make up excuses for my immature acts on a broadcast and am deeply reflecting on my actions."

She added, "I did not intend to make fun of foreigners with Lai Guan Lin's impersonation. I once again sincerely apologize for hurting the fans of Wanna One and Lai Guan Lin with such actions."
