The co-ed group recently guested on the popular Brazilian TV show. Following the broadcast, many fans expressed anger as the host made a racist gesture by slanting his eyes with his hand and also making remarks such as, "You would have to stretch your eyes. Are you kidding?'', when he asked fans if they would like to marry KARD.

In response to the issue, the director of the show and son of the host Raul Gil Jr. explained that his father tends to be playful and apologized, "My father has always been an extremely polite person and he has not thought of disrespecting anyone. If there was any kind of misunderstanding or if anyone was offended, I believe that he and I, both production and director, are really apologetic."
