He mentioned, "Honestly when I heard Yoo Ah In sunbae was going to be in the drama, I thought 'I really want to do this. I'll do everything I can to work on this project' and spoke to the company about it. On top of that, actress Lim Soo Jung was returning to the small screen after 13 years. I couldn't resist. I didn't think about anything else and just waited for them to be confirmed."
When asked what kind of character Yoo Jin Ho is in 'Chicago Typewriter', the actor commented, "He has a bright and laid back personality. The little details like his costume and props add to that, making him a really attractive character."
He also talked about letting go of material things in his career, sharing, "I'm not expecting anything big. I just think about gradually letting go of all these materialistic things like money and fame. Being in the public eye as an actor as well as an individual, I feel that's very important. I can't give up on promises I've made with friends or spending time with family. I want to live an ordinary life of freedom."
