Recently, an online community post has attracted a ton of attention for relaying the extremely touching story of a male middle school student who burst into tears at seeing a dying kitty on the streets.  

One afternoon, his mother received a call from the student, who said tearfully with a sense of urgency, "A cat has been abandoned, what do I do?"  He then said all of a sudden, "I will take the kitty to the animal hospital to get it treatment."  Pleadingly, he asked his mother, "Mom, please transfer money for the payment."

After all that, the boy took the kitty to the hospital.  However, the kitty's condition was very severe, so the hospital told him, "There is no point in giving hospital treatment.  It could die right away, but do you have any intention to raise it?" suggesting that if the boy did not have any such intention, the hospital would assume the "right to treatment," perhaps suggesting putting it to sleep.  

The son again called her mother and relayed the full story.  Although the mother found her son lovable and was proud of him, she had an allergy, so said that it would be hard to take care of the cat.  For her crying son, the mother got in touch with a neighbor who had recently lost a feline life partner.  The neighbor consented to taking care of the cat, but the cat was revealed to still be in critical condition as of yet.

Still, netizens were understandably very touched by the young boy who so fervently wished to save and take care of the cat, leaving comments hoping that he will forever remain sweet and pure.  Hopefully the cat will pull through and we will hear some good news soon!
