Lo and behold, we finally got more substantial background on the 'rape' case surrounding Ji Young and Ha Neul. Ji Young, that conniving little skeeze, apparently booted Luna, an original member of girl group Twinkle, and debuted under Luna's name instead.
A nod to GG's "Tell Me Your Wish" outfits!
According to the real Luna, whom Seok Ho managed to squeeze some information out of, Ji Young's got something on Joo Han. That's possibly why Joo Han granted Ji Young the ultimate favor by placing her in a girl group, something that Ji Young has so ardently desired. But we don't yet know what Joo Han is so desperate to keep on the DL. And then the drama just slams us in the face at the end with the DUN DUN big reveal DUN DUN that Jin Woo, the Jackson member that Seok Ho so doted on, was the one who framed Ha Neul.
Mmmmmm....chicken.....
But why? We don't know that yet. We can make all the wild guesses in the world, but we won't really know for certain. Joo Han and the K Top CEO used Ji Young for their own gain, that's for sure, but what I'm not so sure about is where and how Seok Ho and Ha Neul come into the picture. All we can do for now is wait patiently and wait for this mystery to slowly--very slowly--unfurl.
Additionally, one thing I liked about this episode was that it did a swell job in depicting how selfish Ha Neul's 'selfless act' of dropping out of 'Ddanddara' is. Though it may seem sound to follow his head when he believes he may be hurting those around him, what if it actually turns out that following his head results in the exact thing that he tried to avoid?
Why yes gurlfran, that new club in town be poppin.
Ha Neul never stopped to think that by quitting 'Ddanddara,' he is sacrificing the dreams of others, and the sacrifices they had to make to pursue those very dreams. So now that Ha Neul has learned to truly place the interests of others before his, maybe he is ready to become a permanent member of 'Ddanddara,' give Kyle the chance to become the greatest guitarist the K-Pop world has ever seen, give Geu Rin the chance to see him happy by passionately following his dreams, and give Seok Ho a second chance at life.
