On January 23, a netizen gained people's attention when he/she wrote an online post titled, "EXO fans who reserve and then cancel tickets for other concerts for practice."
In the post, the netizen elaborated, "EXO fans practiced buying tickets using the Busan jazz concert 'Falling into Jazz Wine.'"
The 'Falling into Jazz Wine' concert is an annual event that started in 2008. It is considered the representative concert for jazz lovers in Korea. According to the netizen, EXO-Ls bought tickets for this concert and then cancelled their purchases to practice for when they need to compete against one another for EXO concert tickets.
'Falling into Jazz Wine' organizer's Facebook posts support the netizen's claims. On January 22, the organizer announced that 'Falling into Jazz Wine' had sold out a majority of its seats. The organizer wrote, "I wonder what happened to 'Falling into Jazz Wine' at YES24 (ticket website)? There are only seats of nine and five left here and there.... My heart is thumping seeing those remaining seats.... Hoohoohoo tickets are also selling rapidly on TiMon (Ticket Monster).... This is a moment that will comfort the performers who had a difficult 2014.... although the event is still far off...."
The next day, the organizer wrote that the tickets that had been sold, however, were quickly cancelled. The organizer posted, "We. Got. Cheated. On YES24... EXO fans chose the 'Fall into Jazz Wine' concert to test ticketing purchases... TT. The ticket sales from yesterday were all cancelled;;. Ah... I feel defeated."
Apparently this is not the first time EXO-Ls engaged in this buying and canceling activity, as reports say they have purchased and cancelled tickets from other idols' concerts before.
The netizen who originally posted about the news wrote, "It's so pitiful when you think from the perspective of the people who organize and prepare for their concerts and think of how dejected they would feel."
Netizens reacted negatively to this news with top comments saying, "The representative singers who ruin fandom images," "You're an eyesore, crazy bitches," and, "Seriously stop making a fuss you guys (EXO-Ls). Your time to purchase tickets was 8 right? Starting from 7:30, I saw you guys purchase and cancel tickets on all the concerts featured on the home page (of YES24), even for musicals keke."
EXO's upcoming March concert tickets were scheduled to be sold via YES24 on January 21 and 22nd. However, because the server was down during those dates, tickets will be sold on January 28 and 29 at 8PM KST instead.
