TV has an abundance of awesome characters you can relate to and absolutely love, but there are really only a select few that you will continue to remember and adore in the many, many years to come. Whether they're just outrageous, hilarious, or leaves an impact like no other, they are hands down memorable and unique.
You have Sheldon...
You have Schmidt...
You have Sherlock...
(Wait, am I seeing a trend here?! Five points to Gryffindor if you get what I'm talkin' about!)
And from K-Dramas, you have...
'Reply 1994's Trash
Trash stole everyone's heart last winter with his surprisingly endearing ways. No one really expected to get drawn into his manboy-ish charms and slovenly ways. He was neither the chic chaebol or tough bad boy--he was an old man with a little boy smile and rough country accent who made you cringe at his disgusting habits, but in the end, you couldn't help falling for his hard exterior / soft interior oppa charms.
'Reply 1994's Yoon Jin
Although I'd prefer to leave it one character per drama, it's really hard to forget about Yoon Jin. This character surprised everybody when her tiny (G) body suddenly exploded in an unexpected torrent of curses in a very rough and thick country accent that left everybody with their face like this O_O wondering what had just happened. Since then, her abusive nature and violent tendencies (CHOKE GRAB) have left everybody in love and requesting Dohee to curse on whatever program she appears.
'You Who Came From the Star's Chun Song Yi
This glamorous diva puts other divas to shame because not only does she wow and whoo with her glamorous charms but she also makes you guffaw and cackle at her ridiculous personality. Sure, she makes sure to flip her hair every once in a while and look good for the hospital, so her priorities are shot, but she's too funny to dislike what with her jealous rage, SNS-WTF moments, solo karaoke parties, and Engrish. This character has become legend.
'My Girl's Joo Yoo Rin
An old yet still endearing character, Joo Yoo Rin is the female con artist in 'My Girl' who has a sweet smile and personality to boot, although she does have a mischievous side that involves pulling pranks to no end on unsuspecting people like Seol Gong Chan. Her over-the-top expressions and mannerisms only make her more adorable and likable--not to mention hilarious!
'The Greatest Love's Dokgo Jin
So Dokgo Jin is a rockin' hotshot superstar, but he sure doesn't seem like it! Which we all love and are very thankful for. His "ddabong," his stalker moments, and his cattish grins make this tall and hot celebrity seem much more.... well... I wouldn't say down-to-earth, but.... There are just no words. Which star did HE come from?
'Queen Seon Duk's Mishil
Bow down to Mishil! She may not have won the crown as she endeavored to do all throughout 'Queen Seon Duk,' but there is no doubt she reigned over the world with this amazing performance. In control of a sweet appearance that could instantly turn absolutely diabolical with just the subtle raising of an eyebrow and smirk, Mishil is a haunting yet lovable character that will rule for decades.
'Good Doctor's Park Si Ohn
Joo Won had everybody in love with yet another incredible performance, this time taking on an autistic character who is also a genius doctor. His sweet, child-like naivete drew in the viewers, at the same time awing everybody with his amazing intellect. It is hard to forget this lovable character, who pulled at your heartstrings to leave a mark there forever.
