Lee Hyori was her usual cool self even while responding to criticisms about her singing ability.
She was a guest on KBS COOL FM's 'Kim C's Music Show', where she confidently sang "Bad Girl" live. She said, "This album took about a year and a half to produce. The thing I focused on the most were the lyrics. I'm not a professional lyricist, so even if I wrote lyrics before, I was pushed down by others' lyrics. I got pushed back in the competition. But it's not that I never wrote lyrics. This time, even if people say the lyrics aren't the best, I decided to do most of it myself instead of leaving it to others. Thanks to that, I learned a lot."
Kim C then carefully brought up what could possibly be a touchy topic, mentioning, "I've gotten a little angry before when people were saying negative things about your vocal ability."
Lee Hyori, the queen of coolness, said, "I think everyone thinks differently, so they can think so. Before, I felt like I was hiding behind the instruments. It felt uncomfortable otherwise. But starting from a point, I started liking my voice. Since I like it, it didn't really matter what other people thought," confidently answering back to those who put her down.
