Model Moon Ga Bi (age 35) has recently been confirmed as the mother of actor Jung Woo Sung's (age 51) child, raising interest in matters such as child support and inheritance rights. 

Jung Woo Sung is expected to pay over 3 million KRW (~2,144 USD) monthly in child support, and the child, born out of wedlock, is anticipated to have inheritance rights to property registered under Jung Woo Sung's name.

Lawyer Yang So Young (from Soongin Law Firm) said in an interview with YouTube entertainment reporter Lee Jin Ho on November 25, “The amount of child support Jung Woo Sung will provide is expected to be between 2 million to 3 million KRW (1,429 USD to 2,144 USD) per month.”

Lawyer Yang explained, “Since Jung Woo Sung has acknowledged the child born to him and Moon Ga Bi as his own, he is also responsible for child support. He will most likely pay the agreed amount, but if no agreement is reached, the court will determine the amount based on the child support guidelines, which require monthly payments until the child turns 18.”

She added, “According to the child support guidelines, the maximum monthly income considered is 12 million KRW (~8,574 USD), making 3 million KRW a month the upper limit for child support. However, additional support can be provided if discussed with the primary caregiver.”

The child born out of wedlock will also have inheritance rights to property registered under Jung Woo Sung’s name.

Lawyer Yang stated, “As of now, Jung Woo Sung is known to have one child born out of wedlock. The child’s statutory inheritance share would be 100%.”

In 2020, Jung Woo Sung and Lee Jung Jae jointly purchased a building in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam District, Seoul, for 33 billion KRW (~23.6 million USD).

If Jung Woo Sung were to marry in the future, Moon Ga Bi's son would have the same legal status as any child born within the marriage.

Meanwhile, Jung Woo Sung’s agency, Artist Company, confirmed on the 24th, “The child Moon Ga Bi revealed on social media is indeed Jung Woo Sung’s biological child. Discussions are ongoing to determine the best approach for the child’s upbringing, and he will do his utmost as a father.”

However, they clarified, “While it has been confirmed that the child is his, there are no plans for the two to marry.”

Jung Woo Sung and Moon Ga Bi are known to have first met at a gathering in 2022 and became close. However, it is reported that they did not officially date and have no plans to marry.
