The final trial date for Crown J's (birth name Kim Kye Hoon, 32) assault case has been postponed. On the 8th, Seoul's Central District Court postponed the court date for Crown J. The singer was at his fourth court hearing that took place in the criminal court room at Seoul's Central District Court. Individual 'Seo' who accused Crown J of physical assault was in attendance, as well as individual 'Kim' who served as a witness and they summarized the events that took place the night of the incident. Prosecution testified to police officers at the time that Crown J had hit Seo "two or three times" which was different from the testimony they gave during examination in court. The court found that there was a high possibility of false witnessing, and required an additional witness- Kim, who was called in to testify. Kim testified to hearing "the sounds of two hits", and turned around to see that Shin had repeated the same actions. "The hits were not hard enough to be considered assault, and that's why the prosecution testified in more detail. The hits were not that hard, it was as if a senior was simply disciplining his junior." Prosecution also followed up with questions in regards to a phone conversation Kim had with Seo. Kim had acknowledged it as assault, but had encouraged Seo to make reconciliations. Kim said in regards to the recorded phone call, "Seo continued to lie about personal safety and relationships with parents and I became so angry. If I was going to keep contacting Seo, I had to lie too. If the three people involved were inconvenienced by my actions, I apologize." After 2 long hours of Crown J's team cross-examining Kim, the questions came to a close. Crown J and Shin were also scheduled to be cross examined, however, Crown J's side remarked that they were unprepared and requested an court date extension. After the cross examination of the plaintiff Seo, the court announced that the final trial would take place after all cross-examinations were completed. Crown J and an acquaintance are under suspicion of forcing Crown J's former manager Seo to sign a form giving them the rights to his yacht by using physical violence. According to Prosecution, Crown J with three of his acquaintances attacked Seo at a coffee shop on August 29th 2010, and caused enough bodily injury to immobilize him for two weeks. Crown J then took Seo to his home and gathered the necessary documents for the yacht and forced Seo to sign away the rights. The final trial will be heard on the 25th at 2PM. Source & Image: StarNews
