Soulful Korean R&B singer Kim Jo Han was recently interviewed by YTN Issue & People, revealing facts about his personal struggles, working with today's top idols as a vocal coach and the lasting effects of being a member of the legendary k-pop group SOLID. First, Kim Jo Han opened up about his father suffering from Alzheimer'. "After my father suffered a major accident, his condition was so bad that he could not remember me or most of our relatives, but oddly enough he remembered my mother and Kim Jo Han the singer," he said. "I was deeply hurt." "His condition progressed to the point where he wouldn't understand even when we told him Singer Kim Jo Han was his son. When we asked him how he even remembered the singer, he told us that Kim Jo Han was someone that was really good to him... I'm just glad I was able to be a bit of strength to my Father in some way." The singer who's also worked as a vocal coach for many of today's idol stars such as SNSD, 2PM, 2AM and SISTAR, shared his experience with teaching his juniors. When asked who worked the hardest, he responded, "Honestly, everyone works really hard and they are all so talented." "SISTAR's Hyorin really knows how to enjoy herself when she's doing music, and 2AM's Jo Kwon listens really well. He does anything and everything you ask him to," he continued. "When I run into them every now and then, I'm so glad to see them but honestly I had a lot of concerns when I first started coaching them.... I was worried I wouldn't be able to sing well and they wouldn't respect me as their senior. I was nervous." The singer who's made a comeback for the first time in four years also stated, "I have a performance scheduled at the end of the month, and I'm going to unleash my dance moves that I've never shown my fans before. Not the kind of dance that's choreographed for the song like I did during my SOLID days, but rather a real hip-hop dance." Kim Jo Han also admitted that he loves to hear that his SOLID fans, who are now all middle-aged and have their own families, are still cheering him on when they see him on TV. Although it's been 19 long years since his debut, the singer still claims that he's still working to find his own unique style of R&B music.
