Back in January, soloist Ivy filed a lawsuit against her agency, STOM E&F, asking to terminate her contract because they've been neglecting her career and failing to pay her the profits made from her activities. On September 21st, the Seoul Central District Court ruled in her favor, and drew cheers from Ivy's patient fans, who've been waiting a while for a favorable judgment. Through her manager, Ivy revealed, "I signed an exclusive three-year contract with the company back in 2009. Since then, they've decided my entertainment activities without having discussions with me, and ultimately neglected my career. They have yet to calculate the $20,000 USD I've earned from my activities, and they've also failed to compensate me for the profits made from my third album, which was released back in October of 2009." Now, Ivy will be free to join another agency and take her career to a fresh start. Industry officials are keeping a close eye on her, especially since she's known for her explosive vocals and impressive performance style. Source + Photos: Sports Chosun via Naver
