Earlier this week, PD Shin Jung Soo of MBC's 'I Am a Singer' sent a veiled casting call to SISTAR's Hyorin through his praise of her performances on KBS's 'Immortal Song 2'. In her latest interview with Newsen, Hyorin finally answered the call! PD Shin Jung Soo had previously praised, "She's a friend that I would love to have on the show out of all of the other idol singers. She has surprising vocal talent and performance skills, as well as an exceptional ability in understanding songs. She's a treasure that show producers can only hope to have." When asked whether she would like to appear on 'I Am a Singer', Hyorin replied, "It's not where I'm supposed to be. I think 'I Am a Singer' and 'Immortal Song 2' are different. 'I Am a Singer' is a stage for the best senior singers of our nation. Although it's the same for 'Immortal Song 2', there's a difference in that the show is geared more towards idols." She continued with a laugh, "I don't think I can be in a show like 'I Am a Singer'." Do you agree with Hyorin's statement, or is she selling herself a bit short? Tell us your thoughts below!
