[caption id="attachment_340156" align="aligncenter" width="600" caption="Madison Gunst"][/caption] On August 16th, allkpop and the Korean Cultural Service NY held a K-Pop contest during the 'NY Korea Day Festival' in New York City. While there were many exciting performers, 15-year-old Madison Gunst from Florida stood out the most with her brilliant dance cover of Jang Woo Hyuk's "Weekend Night".�When she was interviewed by MC Goni about who her favorite K-Pop star was, she immediately answered, "Jang Woo Hyuk, obviously!". The media attention surrounding Madison is not only raising interest in Korea, but it also got her noticed by her idol. On August 18th, Jang Woo Hyuk updated his Twitter with a newspaper clipping, and said, "I'm late again hmm.... I was reading the newspaper and saw some good news. Madison Gunst, I hope to see you soon too. See you in Korea in November ^^*". Madison will be travelling to Korea with her free round-trip ticket, which she won as the grand prize from the K-Pop contest.
