Park Jin Young is definitely all over the place these days including a cable show titled, O'live Season 3. In this feature, JY Park talked about Rain, who was scouted out by JYP Entertainment way back in the day. He said,

When you look at Rain, you'd think he's always been a star but that's not the case. He actually failed 18 auditions. Jihoon (Rain's real name) seems like he has a certain amount of talent but he always surprises me. I was so surprised (about Ninja Assassin). While watching it, I didn't think about him as the dongsaeng I know. It was an action movie but he was really good.

We've gone separate ways and that's been working better for us. We see each other more to talk and drink.

The first, second and third step is to find the person's charm. You have to find someone who has a certain type of charm and then think about what their charm really is. That's how I cast people. g.o.d, Wonder Girls, 2PM, etc all share in common somethings. They are all a big shy and innocent. None of them seemed like the type to make it that big at first. Out of those teams, I really worked hard with g.o.d. Back then, we had no company and all we did was make music.
