A representative of the hit KBS 2TV drama 'IRIS' said that they were already fixed on the idea of a series since the beginning of the planning success of the drama. On the 20th of November, Tae Won Entertainment's representative, Jung Tae Won said, "There are rumors about a sequel of 'IRIS', but we already planned out the production of the follow-up." He also added, "For the filming of the sequel, we already made a 2-year contract with the MoonJungDong Garden Five and the rest of the set locations." However, there is a catch. Mr. Jung admitted, "Like the movie 'Family Honor' series, the sequel may have a completely new cast, or a few of them may be replaced. Also, if the broadcasting company changes from the current KBS to a different company, the title, 'IRIS' may be changed into 'NSS'". Wait, there's more. "We will leave to the overseas location as soon as we finish the casting and the basic plot. We did not ask the current directors, Yang Yoon Ho and Kim Gyu Tae, about the sequel yet. The directors as well may change or stay. From the beginning, we were planning on making 'IRIS' a series. It will be the first time we will be attempting this American drama-like system." Meanwhile, 'IRIS' has been hitting over 30% ratings, and the flawless acting of top stars like Lee Byung Hun, Kim Tae Hee, Jung Joon Ho, Kim Seung Woo, Kim So Yeon, TOP and more make the drama even more exciting. You know what this means? This means that after this 20 episode drama ends, we will have a sequel to look forward to! Whether the actors, title, or the directors change, we'll have to wait and see in 2010.
