On this week's Music Core, SNSD members Yuri, Hyoyeon, Sunny, YoonA, Sooyoung, and Seohyun will be performing "In Summer" on a special stage. In Summer was a 1994 hit bye Deux. The song was remixed by singer Seo Yeon (not to be confused with SNSD's Seohyun) in 2003 for her first album. SNSD's version of "In Summer" is supposedly another interpretation and won't be a cover of either the original by Deux or the remix by Seo Yeon. The special stage is set to air on August 1st at 4:10 P.M KST. The absence of Taeyeon from this special stage might just be a coincidence, but maybe SM is finally cutting some slack for the group's leader after she visited the emergency room. In addition to this special stage, Jessica is going to be performing "One Year Later" with SHINee's Onew. Wow, Jessica better be careful before she breaks the hearts of Noonas all over the world. First Jong Hyun, and now Onew? At least fangirls of Key can sigh in relief and know that the "Ice Princess" will never rule over his heart. With the usual Genie promotions, Jessica's "One Year Later" with Onew, and the addition of this special stage, we can expect 3 doses of SNSD in one show!
