Singer Jang Bum Joon of Busker Busker has released a surprise, free single on December 14 KST, titled "No War".
Along with the single release, Jang Bum Joon wrote,
"This song is dedicated to all those who are fighting this cold winter to protect our daily lives. It was a song I wrote about a year and a half ago after the emergency alert scare, and it is called 'No War'. I hope that this song can be a small piece of warmth and comfort for everyone.
War is out of the question. We are living in a day and age when even the first letter of 'war' is out of the question. I want to thank all those out in the streets, those of you withstanding the weather. I love you. I have faith that we will all spend Christmas happily with our families, friends, and lovers, all because of your efforts.
Sincerely,
Jang Bum Joon
December 14, 2024."
Along with the release of "No War", Jang Bum Joon also revealed a heartwarming, animated MV, following two lovers staying together through any situation.
Meanwhile, in May of 2023, citizens of Gyeonggi Province were alarmed after an emergency alert ordered civilians to "take shelter from an air raid" by North Korea. Shortly afterward, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety of South Korea announced that the alert was sent out due to a "mistake", and that South Korea was not under attack.
