On the December 13 broadcast of MBC's 'I Live Alone', NCT's Doyoung enjoyed a date with TV personality Jonathan Yiombi.
The idol revealed, "Jonathan is 4 years younger than me, but I still wanted to become friends. He was one of the first celebrities I asked to exchange numbers with."
After inviting Jonathan to his house, Doyoung whipped up a simple lunch for his dongsaeng, with candied sweet potatoes and a protein shake made with ginseng for a health boost. It was also revealed on this day that the two friends are preparing to retake the Korean History Competence Exam in February, both having earned 'Rank II' during their previous exam.
Later on, Doyoung and Jonathan set out on a hike along Hanyang City Wall for an on-site history lesson. While the 18 km trail quickly wore out Doyoung, Jonathan demonstrated his youthful energy by greeting fellow hikers with a bright smile. Doyoung said, "I'm not really the active type, but Jonathan really broke out of my shell."
After the rewarding hike, Doyoung and Jonathan treated themselves to a lavish dinner of gukbap (rice in hot soup), jeyuk bokkeum (spicy marinated pork), and sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew). Motivated by Jonathan's big appetite, easily clearing 3 bowls of rice, Doyoung surprised the cast members of 'I Live Alone' by eating 2 bowls.
