The surviving contestants began a fierce round of K-Pop boy group cover stage matches on the November 15 broadcast of JTBC's 'Project 7'.

On this episode, it was revealed that after the ongoing '4th Project', half of the surviving 70 contestants would be eliminated, causing shock. Director Ha Sung Woon also introduced the contestants to the '4th Project', designed to pit the contestants against one another in a rivalry matchups.
First, all 5 of the assembled formations including A1, A2, A3, A4, and A5, each consisting of 14 contestants, participated in a team race to choose their cover stage match artist. Each formation had the option of choosing from MONSTA X, NCT, Stray Kids, TOMORROW x TOGETHER, and RIIZE. A1 chose RIIZE, A2 ended up with MONSTA X, A3 went with Stray Kids, A4 got NCT, and A5 picked TOMORROW x TOGETHER.
Afterward, director Ha Sung Woon explained that each formation would be divided into two teams consisting of 7 members each, and the members of the formations would go up against each other as the 'White Team' and the 'Black Team'. The contestant with the highest rank from each formation was granted the power to choose the members of his team as well as his preferred mission song, while the rejected members of each formation would form the rivaling 'Black Team'.
Once all of the formations were divided into rival teams and assigned their mission songs, the contestants began preparations for the matchups. While many of the 'White Teams' showed high spirits after being "chosen" by the highest ranking contestant of their formation, each of the 'Black Teams' showed anxiety at the prospect of going home by the next elimination. During the practices, members of various teams including 'White' and 'Black' faced challenges ranging from disagreements to injuries, indecision, competition for the center position, and frustration over the progress of the preparations.
Finally, at the end of the episode, the contestants gathered for the day of the K-Pop boy group cover dance matches. Members of the A4 formation, competing against each other as the 'Black Team' (Choi Joo Young, Kim Tae Yu, Jung Deun Hae Sol, Hou Guanyi, Oh Tae Hwan, Petch, and Kwon Yang Woo) and the 'White Team' (Yi Chen, Yoo Young Seo, Nam Ji Woon, Andy, Fukuyama Sota, Ahn Jun Won, and Lynnlynn), performed in front of the world assemblers first.
The 'Black Team' delivered a sweet and energetic performance of NCT 127's "Touch", while the 'White Team' impressed with a stylish rendition of NCT U's "Make A Wish".
Next week on 'Project 7', the remaining formations will battle against one another while performing hits by MONSTA X, Stray Kids, TOMORROW x TOGETHER, and RIIZE. Meanwhile, global voting to determine the survival and elimination of the 70 contestants continues through November 23 at 7 AM KST.
