aespa's Karina revealed she was prepping to be a flight attendant before her debut.
On June 7, Karina featured as a guest on Hyeri's interview series on YouTube and opened up about her past. When asked what she would've done if she wasn't an idol, the aespa member revealed, "I was originally preparing for a flight attendant. I also attended a Chinese language academy to become a flight attendant."
In surprise, Hyeri then asked if Karina can speak Chinese, and the aespa member replied, "I was originally good, but now I forget. I just understand it now." After a short conversation in Chinese, Karina told Hyeri, "You're good at Chinese. Your pronunciation is excellent," revealing she'd actually learned Chinese since kindergarten.
